Autumn 2024 Update

Hello everyone!
We are aware it's been a long time since our last update, but for good reason!
I'm afraid our team is as small as before, but we're still doing our best to make it all work out! We have shown our progress to some close friends before deciding to make this update, and they have all seemed fairly happy so far, so I decided now was the right time to share it with the rest.
Building Updates
At last, we are pleased to announce that after 9 months of arduous work, SakuraFalls has a 95% completed map.
It took forever to get everything ready, especially because this is by far the largest map our team has worked on. It's particularly difficult to translate an idea from my head into something actually complete. I also have a specific vision for this project, and I am trying my best to make it a reality.
With that being said, we still have three things left to do for the map to be 100% complete:
- Adding street lights wherever needed - we have tried some designs but they don't seem to look right.
- Re-building the hospital - we weren't happy with how it looked so we decided it's best to start over.
- Adding some extra detail here and there - of course, a final detailing step should be done just to make it perfect.
Feature Updates
There has also been plenty of work done towards finishing the features we have planned.
Currently, a list of what's already working really smoothly:
- Chat channels with language support
- Character stuff
- Moderation stuff
- Vehicles
- Phones, with Call, Texting, and Music Apps
- Wardrobe with up to 9 skins
- Apartments (and houses)
- Auto Ranking
- Holograms, Name Tags, and such
- Development Utilities
- Building Tools
Now, let's talk about what's new.
First of all, we have added a few new GUI textures which you will hopefully like. You can see them in the image below - and yes, these work with Vanilla; you don't have to install any kind of mod for them (not even OptiFine). More are on the way, so stay tuned for that!
We have also been working on setting up the apartment regions (which includes some houses, too). These regions can be bought by players and then edited in Creative without staff intervention by entering the editing mode. I'm sure a lot of you know what I'm referring to.
We have also finished porting the textbox plugin from one of my development playground servers. We are hoping to use it to replace the typical [!] signs you see on most servers which contain environmental descriptions, because you can fit a lot more text this way.
It looks a little bit like this:
We have also added a few weapon models, to try to see what kind of style we're going for.
Hope ya like 'em!

Forum Updates
The forums have very slightly been updated.
The theme underwent some bug fixing and design changes to make it look a little nicer. The website also has better phone support now.
We have also finished posting the Combat Rules, and as usual, updated our Attributions page.
More focus on the website will be placed later, with several unique tools being worked on at the moment to help players with roleplaying, such as a social media linked to the phone, and skin-sharing website. These two websites will take a lot of work before they are done though, so expect these to only come some time after the server launches (at least the crazy version I am seeing in my head right now).
Discord Updates
Lastly, we have also revamped the Discord.
I am willing to take a guess nobody really noticed this change, but it's there. Let us know if there's a channel you think is missing!
If you want to join, there's a link on this website too, in the Information section.
What more is coming...?
Well, a lot, actually.
Besides completing our map and refining more plugins, we also want to add a few fundamental features.
The first one consists of true multiple character support, using LiteProfiles, a free plugin on my GitHub.
If used correctly, it will let you use one Minecraft account to have multiple characters, almost as if you were playing on an alt account!
It will sync your roles, inventory, money, location, and even wardrobe skins! It is already tested and will definitely be coming before the server releases. We hope that will be a great improvement to your roleplay experience.
Multiple characters also means that you will not need an alt account to be able to play an animal. Also, playing as an animal in roleplay will be done simply by applying - no other hurdles.
We also have roughly 90 models planned in some dusty .txt file somewhere. We will see how many make it into the final release, but we do have plenty of roleplay items planned, as well as some vehicles and other fancy stuff.
Anyhow, that is all, folks!
We hope you will like the new updates, and we will try to keep you up to date whenever we get another chance.
Let us know what you think on our Discord, it'll help motivate us.
Until next time...
Toodles!
