Server Rules
Please read the rules carefully before playing the server - not following these will result in staff action (warn, kick, ban).
Bans come in two forms: permanent appealable and permanent final. You may only appeal permanent appealable bans.
Punishment appeals may only be done on the forums, and never through other communication channels.
We kindly ask you not to skim the rules at least the first time around. A good initial read will make a big difference.
Rules marked in red are usually more important and will result in harsher punishments if broken.

2 - General Rules
The following rules must be followed at all times on our server and all other platforms, no matter whether you are currently roleplaying or not.
- You must behave respectfully and appropriately to all members of the community and all forms of harassment are strictly forbidden.
- You must be able to communicate in English.
- Following the decisions of staff members is required at all times.
- Decisions taken by staff are final, but may be reported for assessment by contacting the server management.
- Please do not avoid dealing with staff members by ignoring them, logging off the server, blocking communication channels etc...
- Other staff members different from the currently involved staff member cannot re-evaluate your situation or give second opinions.
- We except all players to have common sense.
- You cannot attempt to loophole our rules and systems because "it never said so anywhere". If it seems forbidden or silly, it probably is.
- You cannot interpret the rules in a strictly optimistic/pessimistic manner - situations are almost always much more complex than black and white.
- Do not advertise your server on our platform.
- Do not engage in extremist conversations (such as sexual topics, racist topics etc...)
- You must never leak (dox) personal information of another player (such as their real name, looks, or anything else similar or worse).
- In order to resolve problems, our staff team will never ask you for personal information such as accounts and passwords, appearance, email addresses, or names.
- If a player is leaking/doxing your information on a 3rd party platform not managed by us, please report them on the 3rd party platform instead.
- Do not spam the chat channels.
- Repeated/random letters: refers to spamming with the same repeated letters over and over (e.g. AAAAAA.....)
- Flooding: spamming some message by repeating it in chat very quickly in order to "drown out" the other messages.
- Group spam: getting several people/friends to say the same message very quickly in chat, similar to flooding.
- Modifications to your game client are forbidden if they give you an advantage or if they are malicious towards the server.
- Bugs or exploits cannot be abused and must be immediately reported to staff members.
- In-game and in-roleplay content (such as items, roles, access to buildings, permission to join a group etc...) cannot be sold for real-life money or favors.
3 - Roleplay Rules
- Metagaming, powergaming, and godmodding are not allowed.
- Metagaming can sometimes be pardoned - such as when asking to meet a friend somewhere just to hang out (i.e. there are no benefits to metagaming here).
- Powergaming must be avoided by rolling a dice (use the /roll command) - all actions performed upon other characters are rolled for.
- Your roleplay actions and appearance must fit within the context and the time period of the roleplay. Do not FailRP.
- You must react to all roleplay happening towards your character, even if it inconveniences you or your character. Do not AvoidRP.
- Your roleplay must take hierarchical structures into account (e.g. a student fearing/respecting their teacher). You must correctly FearRP.
- All forms of inappropriate roleplay and ERP are strictly forbidden.
- Inappropriate roleplay also refers to brutal roleplay, themes of suicide/self-harm, overly-detailed actions, gruesome actions etc...
- If the context of the roleplay would imply an intimate interaction between two characters, you must always F2B instead.
- Voiding must be done in accordance to the voiding rules:
- If a rule is broken, voiding must always be done and be performed by a staff member, and all consequences that resulted from the voided roleplay will also be voided.
- If all the participants in a roleplay situation agree to void the said situation, it may only be done when roleplay is still on-going and never at a later point.
- Staff cannot void a situation unless a rule is actually broken and must be able to present proof.
- Intentionally breaking a rule in order to induce voiding is forbidden.
4 - Character Rules
In the following rules, when we refer to the character card, we strictly refer to the one which may be viewed in-game using /viewdescription.
An external character card written on a 3rd party page or on a document cannot be used as replacement inside the character rules.

- All characters must have a height between 140cm (4'5) and 200cm (6'5).

- If a human character has a non-human appearance, it will be considered a costume.
- Descriptions on the character card must be filled, if a description is still in progress it must be marked as such by setting it to "W.I.P".
- If your description is marked as "work in progress", staff members may periodically ask you to update the description if no change was made.
- All character names must be composed of at least a first name/given name (Reimu) and a last name/family name (Hakurei).
- By convention, the order of a full name consists of the first name, and then the last name (e.g. Reimu Hakurei)
- By convention, the last name/family name should be used in social qualifiers (e.g. Ms. Hakurei, Hakurei-san etc.)

- The age of your character is always written on your character card and your character must behave according to their age.
- The age of consent inside roleplay is considered to be 18 years old.
- If your character's age is below 20 years old, you cannot be in a relationship with another character if the age difference is above 3 years.
- Your character must be at least 25 years old in order to form a family or to adopt children (this also applies to your character's partner, if any).
